E-RATE DOCUMENT RETENTION – BEST PRACTICES
RULE:
USAC requires that all applicants retain their E-rate related records for a period of 10 Years after the latter of the last day of the applicable funding year or the service delivery deadline for the funding request.
PROBLEM:
Understanding that the information life-cycle of a typical E-rate Funding Request is now around 13 years, how can applicants safely and securely store and retrieve all of their E-rate related documents?
SOLUTION:
Use of an electronic document retention solution such as our "E-Rate Document Repository" provides:
- Organized and searchable home for all of your E-rate related documents and e-mails.
- Secure cloud-based document storage and archive.
- Collaborative work-space to share documents and e-mails between your school or library and your E-Rate Central account manager.
